For all of you that know my poodle Mr. Mooney Flowers, we are sad to say that yesterday he became paralyzed from the waist down. One minute he was fine and the next minute he couldn't move. He has been to the emergency room and is being treated with painkillers, muscle relaxants and steroids, to no avail. He is just a 3 year old puppy and the doctors can find no reason for his condition. But it is the saddest thing you have ever seen.
Everyone who has ever met Mr. Mooney has fell in love with him. Please send Mr. Mooney lots of love and positive energy. My heart is broken.
I am so very sorry to hear about your Mr. Mooney. I will send him all of the positive energy and healing thoughts and prayers that I can. It is so very difficult when our furry family members are hurting and we dont know how to help. Sending all positive energy I can for both you and Mr. Mooney. I sure hope that your vet can help him.

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness....I am so very sorry to hear about your sweet pup. I am sending lots of love to Mr. Mooney!!
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to Mr. Mooney? I just read the last few posts of your blog, the decision-making of whether to bring him with or leave him behind... and then I get to your last post dated May 21, 2011 and it said he became paralyzed!
ReplyDeleteI too am a poodle lover. I too made a cross-country road trip... ALL the way across country... from Oregon to Key Largo, FL with both my poodles but lucky for me I had a prince of a co-pilot with me who helped me with all the challenges you mention.
I have now relocated from Key Largo to Delray Beach, FL (Palm Beach County). I do a website on my love of Delray Beach.

I would love to hear how you are making out and my heart can't help but hurt for Mr. Mooney! I hope everything worked out. I would love to hear an update.
Oh and one more thing...
ReplyDeleteIt is my dream to live on a boat too but I'm hoping to pull it off with someone who knows all that stuff because I don't want to learn it, I just want to live it!
